The Andrew J. Mitchell Education Fund

In honor of his tenure and service at Peconic Bay Medical Center, we are proud to dedicate The Andrew J. Mitchell Education Fund. This Fund will support any healthcare hero in their pursuit to better themselves through education. The Fund will be open to both clinical and non-clinical staff to pursue opportunities such as higher education, certificate programs or conferences.

Since 2001 Andy Mitchell has brought success and advancement to Peconic Bay Medical Center.  He went on to establish the Peconic Bay Medical Center Foundation and build the Kanas Center for Advanced Surgery, the Corey Critical Care Pavilion, The Feil Campus for Ambulatory Care, the Pegasus House Palliative Care Center, the Kanas Regional Heart Center, the North Fork's only Trauma and Stroke Centers, Long Island's first hospital-based Caregivers Center and eastern Suffolk County's premier Orthopedic Program. He also would grow Peconic Bay Medical Group into the largest, highest quality, multispecialty physician group in the region.  In addition, he would make Peconic Bay Medical Center a teaching hospital with graduate medical education programs in surgery and family practice along with our Radiology School.
